Sex, sexuality and kink

Many of my clients come to me struggling with issues around sex and sexuality. They may find it difficult to have satisfying sex in their romantic partnerships, feel disconnected from their own capacity for pleasure, or feel confused about what they do or don’t want. They might worry whether their desires are “normal”, or can’t see a way to integrate them with their existing lives and relationships.

The basis of all my work around sexuality is to remove stigma and judgement. There’s no need to worry that you might shock me – I wouldn’t say “I’ve seen it all”, but I come pretty close! This absence of judgment is important, because the shame many people feel about sex can prevent them thinking creatively about how it fits in their life. Once we’re in conversation, most people see that the problem is much smaller than they imagined in their own head.

To enhance this aspect of my practice, I’ve recently obtained a certificate in psychosexual counselling from the Grove Practice
